Who Is August Booth?

Who is August?
I am a HUGE fan of Robert Carlyle's Rumplestiltskin and it would please me to no end to find out that this strange writer could be Rumple's son Balefire, but we have to look at the facts or the clues, few as they are. My friend, Donna brought to my attention in the last episode that August tells Emma he never lies and he was also having some knee problems by the river. We also know that August talks a lot about water. My friend believes August could be Pinocchio. That could account for him never lying and his knee problems (nose grows if he lies and used to be wooden in fairy tale land) but what about all this thing about water? August was having those knee problems close to the Toll/Troll Bridge. Could he be a troll? Water dpes play a role in Pinocchio's story. You know the part about the whale (hmmm. Mr. Whale? A whole other story).  In the info for The Return it says we will find out more about Balefire in the fairy tale past and that could account for some of those dagger pictures but what about the present? Could August just be there to talk to Mr. Gold about what happened to Balefire? He doesn't really have to be Balefire himself. What do you all think?

Side Note: I do not believe August is there to kill Mr. Gold. Rumors are swirling that Belle will be coming back in the  season finale episode so I'm sure Mr. Gold is safe...for now. One more thing. Will whoever has that dagger have control over Mr. Gold in this world? Let's hope that Queeny doesn't get her grubby paws on it if it is in the present world. Wouldn't it be cool if little Henry found it though? Mr. Gold being under Henry's control. That would be interesting.

  1. Just wanted to add here that there is another possible character he could be. Clues: August's license plates say Kansas, maybe he has a metal knee (reason for the knee problems) and needs a little oil. Also, water is very prominent in The Wizard of Oz when the Wicked Witch of the West is killed by water. Also, water can rust metal or should I say tin? The Wizard of Oz has been shown many times within Henry's storybook. Care to guess which character I'm talking about?
