Once Upon a Time: Broken Review!

How can I start a review to this awesome beginning to a new season? Let's pretend I'm the Cool Aid guy busting through a brick wall! OH YEAH! IT'S BACK AND IT'S BRILLIANT! A disappointment at one point but who cares! Most of the episode rocked big time! Are we dealing with that same old curse anymore! Of course not! New problems, new adventures, new heartbreaks and new revelations on this second season of Once Upon a Time! I'm am sooo excited to begin! Come join me in a recap and review of the characters of Storybrooke and beyond!

MYSTERY MAN! :D

First off I will explain how I'm going to do this review. I'm going to focus individually on each characters story lines. All or most lead to the same ending but I hope I don't confuse you too much. Where best to start? At the beginning of course. We are shown a horse. Are we in Storybook land? NOT! This seems to be New York City. Why are we here following a man with his cell phone up to his apartment. He loses his phone while trying to pull down a window. A homing pigeon leaves a postcared which is from Storybrooke with only one word on the back "Broken." This is all we are seen of this mystery man during this episode. It looks to be that he's going to be our ongoing theme this year. Not a curse but a man. Possibilities you ask? Well, even if you didn't ask. Here are some. The obvious person is of course Baelfire! That's exactly where I went to in my mind when I saw him BUT we've been fooled before on that subject with August Booth last season. Anyway, wouldn't Bae be older? I don't know. Do we want to see a Bae who may be as old as his father meeting Rumpy? Well, we do have Emma who just as old as her parents and if Bae is Henry's father...well that's a whole other story. This mystery man could be Hook judging from summertime advertisements about him coming to Storybrooke but didn't this guy have both his arms. Hook has only one arm right? Then maybe he's Peter Pan himself and what if he's Henry's father. Would Emma really want Henry to know about his father if he eternally acts like a child? lol! Okay, moving on!

STORYBOOK LAND STORY!

We are with a man named Phillip and a mysterious unknown soldier as Phil rescues his Sleeping Beauty from a thorny castle. He kisses his Beauty and she wakes of course. Later it is revealed that the soldier is a woman and her name is Mulan! Yay, Mulan...but what?! Okay, so her love from the Disney movie seems to not exist. She has fallen in love with Phillip so it causes a problem between her and Sleeping Beauty. Also, there seems to be the problem of a wraith who has been awakened and takes Phillip's soul because he has the wraith's mark on his hand. The two women talk and exchange some things. Mulan mentions that most of Storybook land was destroyed by the Evil Queen's curse and the land they are in now is all that is left! Oh, so what we've been watching here wasn't the fairy tale past but present and what the Queen keeps saying through the episode about Storybook land being destroyed was only half-right. Some of it stills remains! The two women hear a strange sound and follow it to some rubble. Mulan moves some of it and who should be there but Snow and Emma. The wraith that destroyed Phillip had come from the their world! How many possibilities does this bring to the series? Now we have Snow and Emma in Storybook land! I so cannot wait till next time episodes! At the end of last season I was wanting Emma and Henry to be brought to that world. Thought it would be so awesome to see Emma's expression while looking at a unicorn. LOL! Well, she did see that dragon last year so seeing a unicorn may not phase her so much now. lol!

SNOW WHITE'S FAMILY

We see James and Snow together and happy. They meet up with Red, Granny, Grumpy and the other Dwarfs. Finally, a moment I've waited all summer to see happens here when Emma and Henry meet  Snow and James for real! Wasn't that just a heartbreaking happy moment when Snow and Emma hug? When Henry said Grandpa was a funny and yet a sweet moment too. The group's conversation quickly turns to revenge when talk of the curse and Regina begins. Emma says Rumpy is really to blame. When Jim Cricket runs up saying Mr. Whale has stirred up the town to go after the Queen, Grumpy heartily agrees. Emma calms them down and says we shouldn't kill her. Finally, Henry says something he should have said more often last season. "She is my mother after all." So happy he has acknowledged this fact. Regina is his mother who has raised him for many years even if she can turn on him and possibly will someday just like she did her father. Hmmm. The group venture over to Regina's house where the crowd is ready to burn the witch. Regina thinks she has her magic back because Rumpy did bring magic back to the town last year remember? So she strikes out over the frightened crowd but nothing happens. Snow's family stop the crowd from attacking, asking who is Mr. Whale in the process, and take Queenie to jail for her own protection. Later, when a strange wraith-like creature attacks Regina in her cell the family join together to help Regina get rid of the thing. A nice moment occurs when Regina tries to use Jefferson's hat to suck the wraith into Storybooke world. Regina asks Emma if she really did promise to protect her because of Henry. A small smile formed on Regina's face at that moment. She seems to take comfort in the fact that Henry does care for her a little or was it more than that? With Emma's touch, the hat seems to work and so does Queenie's magic! Uh oh! With James' and Snow's help, the wraith is sucked into the portal but not before it grabs Emma's leg and pulls her in too! Snow jumps in after her daughter swearing never to lose her again. James tries to go after them but the hat turns off before he can follow. The Evil Queen is back! She straps James up against the wall but before she can do any major damage, Henry comes in and he makes her promise that if she truly loves him she help him find Snow and Emma and leave everyone else alone. Until then Henry will be staying with his grandfather, James! Yes! Take that Regina! I'm going to love to see James and Henry bonding with each other. Also, with all the adventures Snow and Emma are bound to get into in the other land I'm hoping their family problems will be solved in interesting ways. Those two girls are strong and I'm sure whatever trouble those two find themselves in they can definitely handle! Good times ahead!

EVIL QUEEN REGINA!

With magic restored to Storybrooke, Regina thought that her magic would be restored to her. She had a rude awakening when she tried to attack the crowd and nothing happened. She must have been relieved when the Snow family helped her even if it was by placing her in prison. Of course in Queenie style she tried to escape from her prison by fruitless trying to use her magic when a main magical person we love or maybe love to hate appears! WOW! This was another moment I was waiting for all summer! The confrontation between Rumpy and Regina! The air was only slightly taken out of the tire with the promise Rumpy made to Belle that HE would not kill Regina. What he does is grab Regina's hand and burns the mark of the wraith on her! This brands her as its victim. A little justice for the viewers as we watch Regina worry and almost get her soul sucked out before Snow saves her with fire. Now after the events of the magical hat has happened will Regina keep her promise to Henry to not harm anyone? I highly doubt it.

RUMPY AND BELLE!

I saved the best or at least my fav for last! Rumpy and Belle are still at the well. Rumpy has brought magic to Storybrooke and it seems the first thing this magic did was dye Belle's hair a dark brown! It looks really good on her though. Rumpy talks of taking revenge on Regina for keeping Belle locked up all this time but Belle makes him promise not to kill her. You can almost see Rumpy's urge to somehow work around this promise. The two of them kiss! Sweet but sad. We know something is up. Later, he summons a wraith from a necklace he had in his shop who goes after Regina. Emma and her family visit Rumpy and want to take revenge. Emma just wants to slap him. Oh, that will teach him. Spank the boy! lol! Rumpy turns things around saying everything turned out fine because of him and she should be thanking him. Also, she won't have to worry about Regina much longer. Belle hears him and runs out, hurt that he played with her words. Strangely enough after her walk, she returns and says she is staying to help him to stop being the way he is. I'm so happy that Belle is now a continuing character this season but the writers have got me worried on how much Rumpy really loves her. He's still battling his thirst for power with his love for her. Not to mention there's the Bae situation to deal with too. Belle seemed to forgive him way too easy for my taste too.

Oh my! What a show! This first episode of season 2 really shined and I think it set the feel of the season pretty well! What about you? Do you feel that this season is starting off great? What about those next time scenes! What will Emma and Snow get up too? Lots of questions! The end for now!

Warehouse 13 Spoiler Filled The Ones You Love Review!

OH. MY. GOSH. What an epic episode of Warehouse 13!!! Oh, and do I really have to say I told you so? lol! Seriously though, how truly right was I? I really don't know. Everyone who thought the same thing pat yourself on the back. You deserve it! Let's dive right in why don't we? :D

Brother Adrian has broken into the warehouse for the umpteenth time using ANOTHER artifact and Artie is all agitated for the umpteenth time. He tries to attack Adrian with a boomerang artifact but Adrian ends up rescuing him from it instead. Artie wonders why Adrian would save his life. Yes, like we need more clues. Anyway, Adrian isn't done yet with making Artie's life miserable so he whispers in Artie's ear that he's going after the team's love ones. Now, the good stuff begins!
Claudia discovers many pings in different states and the gang discover that each ping involves the place where a family member resides. One is Myka's pregnant sister, another is Pete's ex-wife, and the last one is Claudia's brother. Claudia is confused about how Adrian found out where her brother is because he was on a top secret mission or something. Artie seems just as surprised. The three go on to their respecting family members while Artie and Leena stay behind. Meanwhile, Mrs. Fredrick and Jinks are on their own mission at the Vatican in search for the other Brothers of the Black Diamond.
Myka meets up with her sister which is surprisingly played by Amy Acker! Yay! I love this girl! I'm a big fan of Buffy and Angel and it's always nice to see an actor or actress from those shows on other great shows. Amy has been making the rounds quite often lately. She was on an episode of Grimm and also another one of my fav shows that you might find a review or two about on this blog, Once Upon a Time. She did an awesome job in both those series and the same could be said about her part here. I like her and I can accept the fact shes Myka's sister but I really can't see much of a resemblance. Can you? lol! Anyway, Myka hugs her sister who has so obviously been affected by an artifact. Some sort of electricity surrounds them both and her eyes sparkle strangely. Myka begins checking out all her baby stuff and ruins one of her baby's clothes with the purple goo spray. This was a funny moment along side the sinister moment taking place in the kitchen while Sister Fred/Illyria/Tracy is poisoning Myka's tea.

Pete meets up with ex-wife 7 of 9. Ugh, sorry but I just don't see how someone like her would have EVER gone out little long marry someone like Pete and especially during his drinking stage but that is for an older episode's review. Pete's ex passes out from a high fever and is taken to the hospital. She has a temp of 106. Is that even possible for her to still be awake at that temp? I don't know. I'm no doctor. Pete hugs her and discovers a tattoo on her back which is glowing. He touches it and now he has the tattoo and is burning up. Calling Artie to fix the situation does nothing because he's more interested in tracking Brother Adrian. He tells Pete to cut if off and leaves him to his own devices! Pete is confused.
Claudia finds her brother encased in amber. She talks to Leena about how to get him out of his situation which leaves her with a blowtorch. The artifact is a scroll in her brother's hand and she has to get to the scroll to bag it of course. She breaks the amber around his hand, bags the scroll and that's solved. She talks to her brother about how Adrian could have known where he was at and discovers only Artie knew. He lied to her.
Mrs. Fredrick and Jinks find a picture frame that was made by Rembrandt I believe, of course after Jinks is sucked into the picture within the frame. The other Brothers are trapped there and one by one they also come out of the frame along with Jinks when Fredrick takes the pic out of the frame. There is one major surprise in store for everyone when the last Brother comes out of the picture.
Pete thinks he is going to explode because the tattoo is from the skin of a bomber who attacked a Russian Tsar. With the help of EX he closes himself up inside a bomb shelter. With the help of Myka though he discovers the box he thought was the artifact earlier is made from the skin of the bomber and he lays down on it where it touches the tattoo so it will come off him and back onto the box. It works! Pete is saved again from another artifact. He rushes to Myka who with Pete's help finally figures out her sister's artifact is a strange rope hanging on a ribbon wreath. They cut it and her artifact is down too! The duo talk to Claudia on the Farnsworth and discover Artie lied to her and they have to get back to the warehouse fast because Pete is getting the worse vibe he's had yet!
Mrs. Fredrick and Jinks meet Brother Adrian for the first time who was the last Brother in the picture. He's never been to the warehouse and Jinks knows he is telling the truth! Who is the guy Artie has been seeing all this time? Hmmm. This very person Arite shoots with a gun he had loaded right in front of Leena. Worried she keeps Trailer on Artie.
Artie finally captures Brother Adrian and bronzes him but as soon as he is bronzed he's standing right in front of Artie. Poor confused Artie! What is going on? Trailer takes Leena to him. A deeply concerned Leena watches helplessly as Artie continues to talk to Adrian who really isn't there. All this time Artie has done all those horrible things that he's blamed Adrian for! Leena wants him to stop talking to himself. Artie tries to put it all together while Leena is talking to Mrs. Fredrick on the Farnsworth. She tells Leena to leave now! I was telling her the very same thing when I was watching it. She should have never approached him! Leena does just that and when Artie turns he is no longer Artie. He is THE EVIL! He wants to get the astrolabe which his suppose to be in the Dark Vault but of course it isn't anymore because Mrs. Fredrick took it. Artie's cold eyes look at Leena and he tells her she's in his way. Pete has another strong vibe and screams to Myka to call the warehouse. The Farnsworth continues to ring by a bloody, lifeless Leena!
Nooo! This cannot be happening! Remember I said I wish I wasn't right in the other reviews. Oh how I wish I was wrong now. This places everyone is a very hard decision. If Artie has really killed Leena then it is too late for him right? He will have to be bronzed. He's too valuable to lose. If the astrolabe is used again to put things back as it was then we will possibly lose Claudia (who's trapped), and Pete (who was killed). If we keep this world Artie is gone. Also, judging from next time scenes maybe this EVIL that is in Artie will somehow be taken out of him. It sure looked like something was flying out of his mouth in that one scene. Maybe that dagger Claudia is suppose to stab Artie with does just that. It kills THE EVIL but not Artie. Even so, even if THE EVIL is taken out of Artie that doesn't take away the fact that he shot Leena! Will Artie willingly get bronzed because of that? Wow, this show rocks. Once we are given answers we are also given more questions! Just how it should be. I only hope we don't have a deus ex machina where everyone somehow goes back to the way it was before all this happened. What is the point in watching if that happens? Oh well. the only way to find out IS to watch! How clever are those goons! Onto next time's scenes! We must save Artie Bear!

Warehouse 13 Second Chance Review!

Oh, how I love this show! Wow, what an episode. So much to talk about. Did you see Mrs. Fredrick's expression at the end and how about those next time scenes?! Oh my even more good times or should that be bad times ahead for Warehouse 13! We should begin.

The series starts with Artie getting badgered by the dynamic duo about Brother Adrian. He quickly dispatches them to their next ping which is a man who is rusting to death in West Virginia. With those two off his back he starts for his desk but then Jinks and Claudia come in asking about the very same subject. He sets those two onto breaking Jinks off of the metronome. To do so he has to return home and to his mother so to Jinks Land we go. Finally alone, Artie sits down and turns to the image of Brother Adrian on his computer screen but who should then appear but Mrs. Fredrick, Wells, and Leena. They want more info about his time travel since Wells has told Mrs. Fredrick about Artie's usage of the astrolabe. After he briefs them with the events of the first episode, Mrs. Fredricks agrees he's done the right thing. (POSSIBLE SPOILER)Hmm. What about that grey streak in your hair Fredrick? Obviously something's not right here! Later when Artie talks about his fear of Claudia being the evil that will come to get him, Mrs. Fredrick dismisses it saying she would be able to feel if Claudia was the evil. Remember that episode where she brought Claudia around to show her what it's like to be her? Maybe the evil is actually Mrs. Fredrick. She didn't come back from the dead completely the same. Maybe Claudia will be taking up the post sooner than she thinks. Then again maybe Claudia will be taking Artie's place if he's his own evil when comparing what was shown in the next time scenes. Well, I've gotten ahead of myself. Moving on.

The duo investigate the rusting man in the hospital and learn he works at a steel mill with a horrible boss who's been holding back their paychecks. Pete and Myka visit the steel mill where a bunch of protesters are well protesting. One of the protesters starts coughing like the other rusting man was coughing in the hospital and this guy has whatever it is now too. Myka talks to the boss man while Pete checks out his office. No go. He's not their suspect. Another victim, this time a female has the ailment and she isn't connected to the steel mill but she is connected to a boxing place where all the sick people have attended. One of the boxers/steel workers is a guy who I believe his name is Cody who gets real angry when Pete comes in asking questions to all the guys while boxing with them. At first they suspect another guy but later it is proven Cody saved his father who also works at the steel mill from a accident by pulling him up from a fall with just his one hand. His dad weighted over 200 pounds. I smell artifact.

Meanwhile, in Jinks Land Jinky can't cope with the fact that his mother was able to fight for the life of the man who killed his sister. Claudia believes that maybe the way to break him and her off the metronome is to make up with his mother. After some emotional conversations, Jinks does just that and the three of them hug while Jinks holds the metronome. His mother touches it and begins chocking. To save her life Jinks throws the metronome against the fireplace breaking it and breaking Claudinks from the thing itself! He did it! He saved and cared for his mother's life and it did the trick! Yay! Freedom and a really good piece of television!

Back with the matter of Cody and his father. The duo ask if he's been taking steroids and his dad is shocked. He talks about how his son saved two people from an explosion in Bagdad, earning him a purple heart. The picture of this event interests Myka and she talks to Artie about where this happened. It was at a museum. Artifact Time! Pete and Myka leave Cody's dad and talk outside in the hall with Artie about how this can be connected. The battle of the 300 Spartan soldiers is somehow involved and Cody must have some helmet, or armor from that war. Myka concludes the article says he was hit with some shrapnel during the explosion. Now we have artifacts that can be stuck inside humans. Interesting and different. I like when they do that. It keeps the show interesting and not the same old stuff all the time. That's the way to do it writers! Bad part is Cody hears them and oops he's angry. Not good. Later Cody is on the roof of the factory. I think it's the factory with the boss man. He's angry and about to hit him but Pete gets between them at the worse moment. Pete gets it right in the face and this time it's skin on skin which is how the other people got sick. He touched them with his left arm. Poor Pete continues to be hit three more times before he gets through to Cody and Myka is done with boss man and his dirty dealings. Now Pete is in trouble and Myka needs to deactivate the artifact fast! She can't take the shrapnel out of Cody because it's close to his heart. It could kill him. So here comes another new way of deactivating an artifact. Instead of bringing the artifact to the goo she has to bring the goo to the artifact and in a very frightening way too. Being the soldier that he is Cody tells her to do it or he'll do it himself. Myka takes a first aid kit which just happened to be nearby and jabs a syringe filled with goo into Cody's chest deactivating the artifact and saving the victims including Pete! Yay! Another interesting artifact down!

Meanwhile over at the warehouse Mrs. Fredrick is taking the astrolabe from Artie's hiding place claiming she saw him hide it there. Hmmm. Did we see this? She also tells Wells to take it and go away. She cannot talk to anyone and cannot trust anyone. As Wells leaves our last moment is with Mrs. Fredrick and her very strange expression. Hmmm. What does that mean? How much has that grey streak influenced the gal? What will Artie think when he finds out the astrolabe is missing?

Warehouse 13 Season 3 Gag Reel lol!

Now about those next time scenes. Quite confusing clips they gave us. The voice over says someone trusted will turn evil while showing Artie and then Artie turning into Brother Adrian. Will the evil truly be Artie? Will it be Claudia? Will it be Mrs. Fredrick? Will it be Wells? Will it be Brother Adrian? So many questions. Until next time. Tootles! :)

Doctor Who: A Town Called Mercy Review!

Now this was a great episode! Dare I say I rather enjoyed this one better than the first two of this season? Yes! I do dare. Not that the first two episodes had their good points. They did and I do enjoy watching Doctor Who but like I said earlier, the Moff sometimes lacks in emotion and storytelling which I'm surprised I'm saying this because I loved the episodes he did under Davies. Especially Blink and The Girl in the Chimney but I don't know what happened from then to taking up the reins. This year though seems to be getting better and better with each episode. Well, sort of. Hmmm. Maybe it's because the Doctor gets angry in this one. I like the Doctor when he's mad and losing control. This is the most interesting part about the Doctor and shows some insight into what is really going on inside him. Shall we begin?

The show starts with cyborg man shooting one of the last aliens in a dessert town. He mentions a doctor and then we the audience believe he is talking about who else? Our Doctor of course. The Doctor, Amy, and Roy were heading for Mexico and somehow find themselves in the 1800s western town of Mercy. They notice a strange border of logs and rocks all around the town and the Doctor takes their KEEP OUT sign as "just guidelines" or something. It's late while I'm writing this. Can't really remember. Correct me if you will. Funny little moment to start the show with. While strolling through town and getting the looks the Doctor notices these people have electricity way before it should have been invented. The Doctor's interest is getting very high with this town. In they go into a bar and someone asks if he's an alien doctor. So as he says yes the crowd pick him up and throw him over their "borderline". Before Madonna can break into song, here comes cyborg man! Will he kill his doctor?! No, because Marshall Farscape makes his first appearance here and makes the people let Doc back over the line. Turns out the Doctor isn't "it" after all. There's another alien doctor in town and HE"S the one the cyborg wants. Marshall Farscape has him in jail to protect him because he cured the town of a disease and gave them all electricity from his ship. Oh, so that is where the town got those sparky street lamps!

To learn more about the cyborg the Doctor gets Roy and a few others to act as decoys so he can hijack a horse and travel to the other alien doctor Jax or something's spaceship. The ship is rigged  to kill any intruders but the Doc is able to move around that and instead of finding out about the cyborg he receives loads of info on Jax's history and it doesn't look good to say the least. The cyborg was out for justice because Jax killed many people during a war and tortured some to make cyborgs. One went rouge and this is the cyborg who is looking for him now. The cyborg tells the Doc that he will not have mercy for anyone else. The next person who walks over the borderline will be killed and to make sure it was Jax. One of my favorite scenes of the episode is next where an angry Doctor tells everyone that Jax is lying and that he tortured many people while turning them into cyborgs. He screams and carries on about how evil Jax is to the point when Jax taunts him back saying that he is just like him the Doc grabs Jax and pushes him over the border with a gun to his face. If it were not for Amy reminding him he doesn't do things this way who knows what might have happened. I know we've seen episodes where the Doc loses control and it feels a little like a repeat but I like the fact they gave Matt this emotional scene. It shows that this is the same Doctor we've been with all along and he's still struggling with the very same things he was struggling with when Tennant played him. The Doctor continues to juggle so many problems in that head of his and his balance of these problems is what makes him who he is and what he will eventually become. Which one day may not be what we expect. How long can the Doctor continue like he is? Will we see some of this come back in later episodes? We will have to wait and see. As for Karen Gillan's performance here..well only the line "this is what happens when you stay alone in the TARDIS for too long" was good. Other than that she doesn't appear to have enough emotion. She just sounds annoyed. She always sounds annoyed. Ugh. Cyborg man is about to kill Jax when Marshall Farscape pushes him away and takes the hit. Marshall is down and cyborg missed. A few dying words from Farscape and now the Doc is marshall and Amy is deputy.

The middle of the episode is basically keeping  Jax away from Cyborg man with more decoys and tricks and a scene where cyborg man finds the town hiding in a church. Cyborg and a little girl lock eyes for a sec. Cyborg won't kill innocents unless he absolutely has to. In the end Jax makes it back to his spaceship but talks to cyborg man. Earlier he had talked to the Doctor about his belief in the afterlife and that he will have to carry all the people he wronged when he dies. I think it was implied that the Doctor was thinking about his own victims and how many he would have to carry. Wow! That would be a lot of people for the Doctor. He'd be a pancake. Anyway, Jax doesn't want the cyborg to continue to follow him and cause more suffering of innocent people because of it. So he triggers his own self-destruct button and explodes inside his own ship. Ooookay. All that trouble trying to protect him so he can blow up in his own ship. What a waste of time for the Doctor. Maybe for us too in a way. Ugh. The cyborg wants to terminated himself too but the Doctor has a better idea. In the end the cyborg is the new marshall of the town and the same little girl looks on as he stands on some rocks. Well, I said I liked this episode but I didn't say it was perfect.

Next time we are spending more time with The Ponds at THEIR home this time. I've just about had enough of the Ponds. When will Amy bite the big one? If my companion knowledge is correct only one companion has been killed in the whole of the series! That was Adric or something. Amazing! 1963 to now and only one companion has ever kicked the bucket! Well, I think we're overdue for another one and I vote Amelia Pond! Please.

Warehouse 13 Endless Wonder Review!

Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive.

This saying seems fairly appropriate for this episode of Warehouse 13, don't you think? A few surprises in plot and a few reveals or are they for this time around? (POSSIBLE SPOILER) Also, what I said last time still stands in my book even though we are FINALLY seeing Brother Adrian in action. I stand by my speculations. More on that later. So much to talk about and yet so little. Hmm. Shall we continue?

There's an artifact that is making people taller. Okay, I'll buy that. Also, the duo believe some artifact related drugs are behind it all. Well, at first. Most of the victims are men and we're on the subject that men want to be taller. Okay, I can see where this is going. I like tall men too. Not that I'm looking though. lol! Pete and Myka are on the trail and Pete seems to be having some character flaws or maybe it's because he hasn't eaten enough that he beds down this new girl who is connected with the drug the duo are investigating. The writers really wanted to bring in the newbie really fast and so I guess having Pete have a one night stand with her was the right choice. Ooookay. We've already seen a relationship with Pete in the past and that one didn't work out either. Also, I kept thinking where did the REAL Pete go during that awkward one minute they're talking and now they're in bed? Not too many episodes ago he was talking about having a baby with Myka and now he's having a one night stand with Really New Girl! Myka, let Pete have a lunch break from now on! Maybe this won't happen anymore!
Over at Casa de la Warehouse. Yes, Casa de la Warehouse because they practically live there and not at the hotel. lol! Artie is getting ganged up on by Jinks and Claudia about those black diamonds and so Artie brings them in a little more into Brother Adrian's actions. Just a little though because we have to be reminded that Adrian said in the other world if Artie tells anyone anything about the astrolabe he'll endanger them. They find out that Adrian has Harriet Tubman's thimble and the trio are off to track down Brother Data!

A nice video.

Meanwhile, Really New Girl has followed Pete and Myka to the other victims of the Tall Man artifact and now has discovered they're more than just CIA agents. Time to call the boss who calls the senator and Pete is now in deep purple goo goo! New Girl takes a trip to Leena's and then with the help of Pete and Regent Man she is introduced to the warehouse. Pete is no Artie. Mrs. Fredrick is cleaning up the senator stuff and New Girl is fired from her old job but may have a new one if things go smoothly in her trial process of becoming a warehouse agent. So kitties if you find out WAY too much about the warehouse they won't kill you or bronze you. You too can become an agent! Don't know if I like her or not yet. Pete has good vibes about her but he had a one night stand with her. How much is is his vibes playing in this or should that be "vibes"? Hmmm. The artifact mystery is solved when Myka finds a bowl used in the victims' cooking classes that was made from the stone of the Colossus statue. Well, that's over.
Artie, Claudia and Jinks are tracking down Brother Data to an old, abandoned house and we learn Adrian has an ancient plank that when place at the foot of anything creates a portal and we now know how he's suppose to be getting into the warehouse. (POSSIBLE SPOILER AHEAD). Okay, when Adrian was seen holding the plank they didn't show his face. Also, later when Adrian is in disguise using Harriet Tubman's thimble he chooses to be Artie. Hmmm. This is still playing as a possible "Artie is pretending to be Adrian" story to me. He could have easily placed a normal thimble on himself and then rushed back up to wherever he was suppose to be during that time. Also, he could be the one that rigged the plank to hurt Claudia and Jinks and if that is true this year's finale is going to be so heartbreaking. The warehouse probably has totally screwed up our lovable Artie and the other agents may have to bronze him for his own good in the end. *tear* We also see Artie talking alone again with Adrian. This doesn't look good for Artie Bear. I really hope I'm wrong in the end.
Back at the warehouse Claudia and Jinks agree to drop the investigation into Artie's problems but not really. Then we find out who Artie was calling about the dagger. That would be the woman who's gone missing through mostly all the season. H. G. Wells makes her reappearance at the end of this episode and reveals to Artie she knows Artie has used the astrolabe and you can feel the fear coming from poor Artie with this new revelation. Our poor Pooh Bear is beyond worried for now Jinks, Claudia, and especially Wells, and Mrs. Fredrick know way more than they should! What will happen next?

Also, who else doesn't completely trust Really New Girl? Who else thinks she may have some connection with "Adrian" or something or someone else?  Oh well, on to next week!

Doctor Who: Asylum of the Daleks Spoiler Filled Review!

Doctor Who is back for a 7th season. It's been a long wait! Here we are on Matt Smith's I believe 4th year as The Doctor and at first I was upset like most when he became number 11. Not for all the reasons some may think though. Yes, I liked David Tennant but I think I complained more when Eccleston left. He was MY Doctor. I was tolerant of Matt taking Tennant's place and willing to give him room to grow and cement his place into the Doctor Who mantel. My mom was not and STILL isn't . A part of me misses Tennant too but come on. It's been years and I'm  pretty much used to Matt now. He has his own thing going and there are times where there's some sparkage of previous Doctors within him. Okay, enough on that. Why must we all beat a dead dog? There is a real problem here with Doctor Who and that may sadly be The Moff or is that changing? Well, let's find out.

Most reviews I've read for this episode are saying how wonderful it was. I must say this is one of Moffat's better episodes since he's been at the helm and it had a very interesting ending but slightly predictable. Also, I don't know what it is Matt or the Moff himself but this era of Doctor Who ALWAYS seems to take a while to spark my interest. Wait, that should be keep my interest. I don't know why that is but it just is. I come back every season with new hope and it still does it to me. Must admit some of the beginning was very good but Moffat seems to be lacking in some department that I can't quite place my finger on. .

Anyway, the episode begins with a lady talking to herself. Well, she's suppose to be talking to her daughter Hannah or something. Her daughter is trapped with a bunch of Daleks and she wants The Doctor to save her. Soon The Doctor makes his appearance and we learn the two of them are on the planet Skaro, the Daleks' home world. Also, that The Doctor was tricked to come here because the lady is just a Dalek puppet. I can see what Moffat is trying to do here. Give us another creepy creature. It was a little unnerving at first but it quickly became annoying too. Now Daleks operate humans. Yeah, wait for it. This is only the beginning.

The Dalek Puppet Girl kidnaps The Doctor. We're now with Amy Pond who is modeling and we learn that she is filing for divorce from Roy. Oh my, what is wrong with the Ponds? Another Dalek Puppet kidnaps them both and the trio are back together at the Parliament of the Daleks. Rather than kill their greatest enemy these pepper pots want The Doctor's help. Don't really remember what these Daleks want the Doc for but they beam all three of them down to their planet for the mentally and criminally insane Daleks. The Daleks think hatred is beautiful which is suppose to be why they haven't killed the Doctor yet. Hmmm. The Doctor is now in contact with a girl (who is suppose to be the next companion) named Oswin who has been holed up in her crashed spaceship for a year trying to keep the loony Daleks away. She entertains herself by making souffles. The Doctor wonders where she gets the milk.

All three characters, Amy, Roy, and The Doctor have their own little story going for them. Roy landed in a bunch of sleeping Daleks and Oswin helps him escape them. Amy has an armband which is suppose to keep her from turning into a Dalek Puppet pulled off of her by one of the living dead Dalek Puppets. She begins the process of turning into one until the Doctor puts his on her arm. He doesn't need one remember...Time Lord. Hmmm. Amy and Roy's relationship is mending after Roy tells her he loves her even though she can't have any more children now after River Song. Karen Gillan did a pretty good job with the emotion but I've never been able to connect with Amy like I have previous companions. Speaking of companions, when it comes Oswin, I loved her from the very beginning. She is quirky and funny and doesn't have a domineering attitude to her that Amy seems to have which I've never really liked. Oswin is very likable which is what Moffat probably had in mind so that the BIG reveal would hit a little harder.

Oswin helps the Doc through intensive care to where her ship is suppose to be. We have some twisty ties here for when The Doctor enters the area where Oswin is, it's not like what we've seen through most of the episode. Sadly, we learn that Oswin was captured like the rest of the crew of her spaceship but unlike the rest she was a genius and so instead of changing her into a puppet they fully conformed her into a Dalek. Now, I must admit. I haven't seen very much of the original series so I don't know if this is a novel idea from The Moff when it comes to the Daleks but from my point of view it's a little clever but also disappointing. The Daleks are suppose to be The Doctor's greatest foes right? Well, at this very moment the Daleks are no different now than the Cybermen. :( So Daleks can control and change humans into themselves which is exactly what the Cybermen do. We don't need TWO different enemies who do the same thing. The Daleks have lasers built into them where they kill their enemies. That is frightening and that should be their main threat to EGGS-TER-MIN-NATE. Even that is too similar to the Cybermen's chant. Don't get me wrong, I liked the episode for what it was. One of the better of Moffat's time no doubt. This is just a stitch in my side.

The Doctor tries to help Oswin come to terms with the fact she is a Dalek now. She wants to exterminate him at first but her drive to remember being human is enough to let him go and tell him to run. The Doctor escapes just in time with Amy and Roy before the planet is destroyed by the Daleks. Was Oswin destroyed too? How is she suppose to be The Doctor's new companion? Aren't we suppose to see her again for the Christmas episode or was that a fib from the Moff? Amy and Roy have made up and the Doctor drops them off at their home. How long will we continue to travel with those two? Many questions but the most important one is the one that Oswin managed to give to all the other Daleks. "Who is the Doctor?" In other words, "Doctor Who?" This seemed to greatly delight the Doctor. The 50th anniversary of Doctor Who is coming. Will we finally get an answer to this question during this time? That's just it. What it all comes down to with Doctor Who. Only time will tell. :)

Next episode is Dinosaurs on a Spaceship. I'll be surprised if this one is even better than the first one but it does have two things going for it from this Harry Potter fan, Mr. Weasley and Filch! Oh just so we don't forget The Doctor even says the title in the episode. Hmmm. :)
